Newport Little League is a youth baseball & softball program serving the local community in Newport, RI.  As a local charter of Little League, the largest organized youth sports program in the world, Newport Little League provides players an instructional program covering the fundamentals of baseball, fostering good sportsmanship and teaching the importance of teamwork.

All-Stars:  June - July
2024 OPENING DAY: SATURDAY, APRIL 27TH @ GOLDBERG FIELD

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY?
Child(ren) 4-12 years of age, residing in or attending school in Newport.

HOW MUCH ARE REGISTRATION FEES?
$70 for the first player
$40 for each additional player
$150 maximum fee per family.

DOES MY CHILD(REN) NEED TO TRYOUT?
No. However, both Baseball & Softball Majors & Minors divisions require ALL players attend a Player Evaluation*, to assess the skills & capabilities of each player before teams are assigned. This process is to ensure the appropriate placement of players to provide a safe environment.
Players that do not attend the Player Evaluation will be assigned to the designated age bracket as noted on  the age chart, or after review of the player’s most recent player evaluation conducted.
